Introduction

Welcome to my first blog post!

My name is Rupak Hattikudur and I live in this beautiful city of Bombay, Maharashtra in India.

I like to call the city by its old name, Bombay. The current name is Mumbai - derived from Mumbā - Mumbadevi, a goddess of the original inhabitants, the Koli people, of this city. When I was born, in 1991, the city name was still Bombay - therefore I refer to it by it old name. It may not make sense to you, but in some way, it does to me. :)

I was born and brought up also in Bombay and have lived in Saraswat Colony, my entire life, except for close to 4 years when I was in Johannesburg, South Africa on a work assignment.

I did my schooling in Lilavatibai Podar High School (LPHS) and then joined R.D. National College for finishing my 11th and 12th grades.

Then, I did my Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Computer Engineering from Shah & Anchor Kutchhi Engineering College in Chembur - where I really enjoyed learning the concepts of computer science whilst making many friends.

During my final year of engineering, I got an opportunity to interview with Persistent Systems and L&T Infotech, and I got selected in both companies. I ended up joining L&T Infotech where I am currently employed after close to 7 years.

I believe every individual has a lot to share with this world and I hope to share my experiences and thoughts with every one who is a visitor to this blog.

I hope you enjoy my posts about my simple yet very happy life. I could complain about a lot of things but I feel one must always look at the bright side of things.

I will try to accompany each post with what I have learnt so far from life.

I will sign off by saying this:

Keep your life simple. Simplicity will bring you a lot of happiness.

Thanks for visiting my blog.

Cheers,
Rupak :)
